StoryLine Online

 

 

Once you get to this site, click on Continue to Storyline Online. The directions will lead you through the materials on the site. There are several books that you can choose for the students to listen to. Readers are filmed reading the book, much like they would be doing if they were reading to a class. Materials are also available for the books, such as Related Activities and and a downloadable (is that a word?) Activity Guide.

 

Highlights Kids

 

This link will take you directly to the Story Player. Click on the book of your choice to hear the story read aloud by other children. There are other links at the top of the page where you can access games, pictures, poems, and other links.

 

Childtopia

 

The stories that are found on this site are the classics. From The Ugly Duckling to The Three Little Pigs students can listen to these stories being read orally. One of the cool features of this site is that the books can be read in more than one language. Click on the flag at the top of the screen to choose the language you wan to listen to.

 

Clifford Stories

 

Studens can click on the words to hear the story being read to them. Whe they click on the red words, they can watch the pictures change.

 
 
Starfall is a wonderful site with learning games and activities to help students learn. This part of Starfall will read the story out load as the words are clicked on. Some of the stories have a speaker that will read the  book in strapses. The words that are ging read wioll trurn red as they are read.
